From murals to writing workshops, Buckeye Arts & Culture is offering a range of creative opportunities for local residents and artists nationwide.
The city has issued calls to artists for both a new mural and the next round of Traffic Box Art, giving creatives the chance to showcase their work in public spaces.
Felicia Penza will lead “BLK WRDS,” a writing workshop celebrating Black artists, storytellers and authors. Local writers can also join Write Club, a monthly gathering that includes critiques, discussions and writing tips.
In addition, a nationwide call has been launched for the design of a kinetic sculpture that will be installed in Sundance Park.
More details on all programs and applications are available at buckeyeaz.gov/arts.

I’m a lifetime artist, and would love the opportunity to do a mural somewhere. I’m a current resident of Buckeye and work at the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant. I have many of my works posted on my Facebook page. Thank you very much.
