Is Buckeye committed to improving road safety and ensuring a connected, accessible transportation network for all residents? With support from a grant from the United States Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All Program, the city is developing a comprehensive Transportation Safety Plan to enhance safety as our community grows.
Why This Matters
At city hall, the belief is that the Transportation Safety Plan will gather community input to create safer streets for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.
Key Goals of the Plan
- Safer Streets and roads – Reduce collisions and minimize risks for all road users.
- Data-Driven Solutions – Analyse crash data to identify patterns and contributing factors.
- Community Input – Collaborate with residents to ensure the plan reflects local needs and priorities.
How You Can Get Involved
Your input is essential! Share your thoughts and experiences by completing a quick survey to help shape the plan.

This may not apply but the stretch of 85 from the I-10 to Hazen road is extremely dangerous. I have lived near there for the last five years and I personally know of 5 accidents and most were fatalities in am sure there are more that I don’t know of. DPS watched this strip some but I personally think we need more and bigger signage and more patrols and stiffer penalties for this area. Thsnkyou
That stretch of road is maintained by the State not the City
