Abrazo Health’s new medical campus in Buckeye will hold its grand opening and ribbon cutting on June 18, according to a spokesperson.
The 27-acre campus, located just off Interstate 10, will include medical offices, ambulatory services and an acute care hospital.
Located at Verrado Way and Interstate 10, it will be adjacent to the new Buckeye Commons retail development, just south of the city’s Verrado community.
Abrazo’s newest building is a three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building. It's just the first phase of a string of possible related developments in Buckeye, according to a Buckeye press release.
“It’s critical that we build developments like this here in Buckeye. We’re excited about being able to talk about more phases in the future,” Mayor Eric Orsborn said in a previous city release.
Abrazo Health leaders also alluded to it being a good first step in a multi-year investment.
“We have tremendous partners in the City of Buckeye to enhance healthcare services for this growing population and address gaps in healthcare access,” said Hans Driessnack, CEO of Abrazo West Campus. “Before now, many residents had to travel outside the community for everything from basic to advanced medical care and services, so this facility will really help improve access and therefore the quality of lives for the citizens of Buckeye and beyond."
Cardiology, orthopedics, spine, primary care, urology physician practices, physical therapy and other offices are all anticipated occupants.
The center is expected to provide an economic jumpstart in the immediate area.
