The 85th annual Halloween Carnival returns to downtown Buckeye on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m. The long-standing event will take place at 6th Street Plaza and Monroe Avenue, bringing generations of residents together for an evening filled with fun and tradition.
A staple of the Buckeye community for more than 80 years, the Halloween Carnival features classic carnival-style games, food vendors, and activities hosted by local nonprofit groups. Organizers say the event remains one of Buckeye’s most anticipated community gatherings, offering “old-fashioned, family fun with something for everyone.”
This year’s event will also include a costume contest, with participants competing for prizes in several categories. Sign-ups will take place on the day of the carnival. Contest categories include scariest, cutest, and most original or creative do-it-yourself costume.
The contest schedule is as follows:
• 5:30 p.m. — Family
• 6 p.m. — Ages 3–4
• 6:30 p.m. — Ages 5–6
• 7 p.m. — Ages 7–8
• 7:30 p.m. — Ages 9–10
• 8 p.m. — Ages 11–14
