A new Five Guys restaurant opened Wednesday in the shopping center just south of Costco at Verrado Way and Roosevelt St.
The new store is the first in Buckeye, but the 30th in the greater Phoenix area owned by Lucas Mitchell, who continues to persue a dream he's had for years.

Mitchell said he stayed with the company, moving up the ranks and into leadership positions.
He said that when he had the knowlege, he found some partners and financing through a small business loan and bought his first five stores.
He said the Buckeye location is just the second Five Guys that he's launched from the ground up, the rest having already been established.
He said each store brings its own challenges and rewards, but it's the team members that make his stores successful.

He said the new store employs about 30 people.
The hamburger and fries resturant is well known its simplicity of burgers and fries.
The first Five Guys opened in 1986 as a "small, carry-out burger joint in Arlington, Virginia," according to corporate literature.
The company now has more than 1,900 restaurants worldwide.

While I appreciate the quality of the cuisine, the current pricing structure presents a notable concern. A slight adjustment to the pricing, or the introduction of table service, would significantly enhance the value proposition. Consequently, I find it difficult to justify frequent visits for lunch on a weekly or monthly basis.
