A new McDonald’s is planned for the Buckeye Commons area, becoming the city’s third location as the fast-food giant rolls out a nationwide initiative to lower prices.
The restaurant will join existing McDonald’s locations on Watson Road and inside the nearby Walmart. The expansion comes as McDonald’s prepares to reintroduce its Extra Value Meals on Sept. 8, offering $5 breakfast combos and $8 lunch and dinner meals. The discounted menu offers approximately a 15% savings compared to purchasing items separately, according to representatives.
Company officials say the initiative is aimed at drawing back cost-conscious customers after years of price increases across the fast-food industry.
Buckeye Commons, located near Interstate 10 and Verrado Way, has attracted a wave of new restaurants and retailers in recent years as Buckeye continues to be one of the fastest-growing cities in the country.
