Buckeye is once again inviting local business owners to apply for funding through the city’s popular Catalyst Program, with the next application window running from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30.
The program offers grants of up to $50,000 per business parcel to help improve or expand commercial properties. Eligible projects include exterior upgrades, rehabilitation of existing structures, and enhancements that boost curb appeal. Business owners must contribute financially and will be reimbursed upon project completion, provided they submit all required documentation.
This funding round includes a total budget of $245,000. The program is designed to spur economic development by supporting local investment in Buckeye’s business districts.
Since its launch, the Catalyst Program has funded 54 projects, totaling nearly $1 million in city grants, with a combined investment of $2.7 million from both the city and the private sector. Officials say the program has delivered a 2-to-1 return on investment.
