Buckeye Businesses Rock: Chamber gives annual awards

The Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Buckeye Rocks Awards, honoring businesses and individuals throughout the community. The awards categories included municipal, education, community service and chamber honors. A total of 29 awards were given.

“It is with great pride that the Chamber has the opportunity to present these distinguished awards,” said Vice President of Membership Ted Burton. “The individuals being recognized embody the unsung heroes of our community, serving as its essential backbone. Their invaluable contributions often go unnoticed, yet they play a crucial role in shaping and enriching our collective experience.”

The following awards were given:

Municipal Awards:

  • Municipal volunteer: Terry Vrabec
  • Municipal employee: Brian Wright
  • Buckeye Heroism Award: James Radloff, Thomas Baldwin and Ryan McElhaney

Education Awards:

  • Educators of the Year:

    • Buckeye Union High School District: Cassie Kinne
    • Odyssey: None given this year
    • Saddle Mountain: Dr. Shane Hunt
    • Liberty Elementary: None given this year
  • Education Support Staff:

    • Buckeye Union High School District: Laura Becker

    • Saddle Mountain: Rachel Arndt
    • Liberty Elementary: None given this year
  • Education Volunteer:
