Buckeye police are investigating a series of threats to students discovered in another student’s notebook.
“Just after 1 p.m. today, Buckeye police received a call from Westpark Elementary School,” according to a prepared statement from Buckeye Police. “Staff reported a sixth-grade student was found to have a notebook that contained written threats directed toward other students.”
When officers responded to the school to investigate, they learned the student, an 11-year-old boy, had written “concerning statements” based on an animated television show he had seen, police said. Police did not provide details on the show.
No injuries have been reported.
Police officials said investigators have contacted the families of all students involved, and “no one is choosing to aid in prosecution.”
No charges have been filed.
