What began as a routine trespassing complaint at a Buckeye business Tuesday evening quickly escalated into the arrest of a man wanted on an out-of-state felony warrant.
According to court documents obtained by InBuckeye, officers with the Buckeye Police Department responded around 6:19 p.m. to a business in the 700 block of South Watson Road regarding an unwanted guest.
When officers arrived, the business manager reportedly told police he wanted the man formally trespassed from the property.
Police said the man — later identified as Kyle Lee Lacombe — cooperated initially and agreed to step outside while an officer prepared the trespass notice.
But during the routine encounter, officers discovered something far more serious.
According to court records, a records check revealed Lacombe had an “out-of-state felony warrant with full extradition,” instantly turning what appeared to be a minor disturbance call into a fugitive arrest.
Police detained Lacombe while the warrant information was verified. Once confirmed, he was arrested and transported to the police station for processing before later being booked into custody.
Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the underlying felony warrant or the state seeking extradition.
