A suspect is in custody following an officer-involved shooting last night at a home near Miller Road and Burgess Lane.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, Buckeye police received a report from a woman who said her husband had a gun and was threatening to kill her. Officers responded to the scene. The woman was walking out of the home when the suspect, a man in his 50s, came out and fired at police. An officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect then went back into the home. No officers were hurt.
Just after 1 a.m. this morning, the suspect walked out of the home and was detained without incident. It was determined the suspect had not been injured in the officer-involved shooting. Suspect identity will be released once he is booked into jail.
