Buckeye police issued an “all clear” notice for four schools that reported bomb threats this morning. No threats were located at the campuses.

At about 7 a.m. this morning, Buckeye police learned that a staff member at Canyon View High School received a voicemail from someone claiming to have bombs on the campus, according to a statement from police officials.

Students and staff were evacuated as officers swept the campus, police stated. No threat was located.

Buckeye police later received reports of similar bomb threats at Verrado High School, Verrado Elementary and Middle School (which share a campus) and Festival Foothills Elementary School, which was already closed for spring break, according to police.

No threats were located at either of these schools.

Buckeye police determined the threats were a hoax with similar incidents reported in other states, according to a police statement provided to InBuckeye.com.

“Investigators expect to receive more reports of bomb threats as other schools return from spring break,” police stated. “At this time, no suspect has been identified, and no arrests have been made.”

The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
