The Buckeye Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old boy who was last seen near Miller Road and Lower Buckeye Road.
Police said Giovanni Tapia-Mesa, 14, is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 4 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs about 100 pounds and has a mole on his left cheek.
At the time he was last seen, Giovanni was wearing a beige beanie, all black clothing and was carrying a black-and-red backpack.
Anyone with information about Giovanni's whereabouts is urged to contact the Buckeye Police Department's non-emergency line at 623-349-5050. Tips may also be submitted online through the City of Buckeye's crime tip reporting system.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of his disappearance.
