Nov. 20 update from Buckeye PD: "The suspect in this incident died yesterday at the hospital. Next of kin has been notified. He is identified as 23-year-old Jayden Kidd. The investigation is ongoing."

Original story is as follows:

At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 19, Buckeye Police responded to reports of a shooting in a neighborhood near McDowell Road and Sienna Hills Parkway.

When officers arrived, they found a woman in her early 20s lying in the doorway of a home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her back. Nearby, a man in his early 20s was discovered on the ground in front of the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

In a statement to the press, Buckeye PD said officers performed life-saving measures on both individuals. "The woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, while the man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries," Carissa Planalp, a spokeswoman for Buckeye PD said.

Police say the incident appears to be a domestic violence situation involving former romantic partners.

The investigation remains ongoing and this story will be updated with more information once it's available.
