At 8:46 a.m. today, Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue and AFMA responded to a garage fire at 1629 E. Maplewood Ave. in Buckeye. Crews quickly extinguished the blaze, which was contained to the garage, a fire department spokesman said.
Two occupants were evaluated on scene for smoke inhalation, but no serious injuries have been reported. The homeowners will be able to remain in their home as the damage did not spread beyond the garage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
